  • getting to know Kris...

    Who is your favorite architect?

Antoine Predock from New Mexico. I especially like the homes he designs in the southwest.  His style is very distinctive with cool ideas, and each one is different.

What are your favorite sports teams?
Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Rockies.  Man, I’m such a “Homer”!

What are your favorite things to do - for free?
Hang out with my kids, go hiking, build a jigsaw puzzle, gardening in the back yard.

Why is Intergroup different than other firms?
Because each person has their own specialty, we have a pretty good range of expertise.  I don’t think there is a project type out there that someone in our office wouldn’t be able to do.

What did you want to be when you were a child?
I wanted to be “Jim” on Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.  Each week he would be out catching a different wild animal.  Looked like fun at the time.

If you could be anything and be successful at it, other than an architect, what would you be?

I would like to be a professional golfer.  I would combine my love of playing the game with traveling around and seeing cool places every week.

What is your favorite book?

Calvin and Hobbs, Collection series.

Who is your favorite musical artist or band?
I have several favorites depending on the mood I’m in.  For classic rock I like the guitar greats like Eric Clapton, Van Halen, Joe Satrioni, Eric Johnson or Journey.  For country I like Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith and Carrie Underwood.
